Course Overview

Graphic Design 1

This National Core Art Standards based course introduces students to the techniques and thinking processes involved in graphic design. Students will integrate traditional mediums, like pencil and paper, with digital tools, while learning about subjects such as logos, typography, & photo compositing. 

By the end of the course they will have skills in using tools like Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop, be able to problem-solve and visually communicate ideas, and illustrate ideas guided by the principals of design.
