Shape vs Form

Can you take a shape, in this case a post it note, and turn it into a form? Take a 2D object and make it 3D? How tall can you get the tower? Our tallest tower was 41" tall but it fell before a picture was taken. 

Honeycomb, wins points for style, but not the tallest.

Orientation Night

It was so great to meet all the families and students who came to Orientation Night tonight. I hope Mr. Banks and I didn't scare you away. I had a great time talking about what we're going to do in Graphic Design 1, talking books (I hope you grabbed one when you were there!), and hearing what you all had to say about what you think the class will be like. I hope I put some of you at ease and BTW you can draw, you'll see!

Exciting Day

Today I started planning out some projects that will connect the learning we do in graphic design to the learning students are doing in U.S. History. I am super excited to start this year!
